Global Sim (TT)

 Caritracks’s Global Sim card for Trinidad and Tobago costs $60 provides 100MB of Data per  month for TTD $30. The data plan can be increased on request. 

How the Sims works in Trinidad and Tobago? 

GPS trackers with this sim uses both the Digicel and Bmobile depending on which network has the strongest signal at the  the current location.

How the Sims works outside the borders of Trinidad and Tobago? 

Once the GPS trackers with this Global sim is out of range of both the Digicel and Bmobile networ the tracker start sending it’s data to the GPS serve via a foreign mobile nework (e.g. Venezuela, Barbadies etc.). The data rate at this point at a reasonable rate.

1. Service Coverage (Primary Market: Trinidad & Tobago)

This IoT SIM service is designed primarily for use within Trinidad & Tobago using partner mobile networks. Network availability, quality of service, and coverage depend on local network conditions and may vary by location.

Service performance is provided on a best‑effort basis and is subject to local carrier capabilities.


2. Use Outside Trinidad & Tobago (International & Roaming Use)

Usage of the SIM card outside Trinidad & Tobago, including but not limited to other Caribbean islands, North America, South America, or international destinations, is treated as international roaming.

International usage:

  • May incur significantly higher data and SMS charges
  • May be subject to different network partners
  • May experience higher latency or reduced performance

International roaming is disabled by default unless explicitly enabled in writing.


3. Roaming Control & Risk Management

To prevent unexpected charges, the Provider reserves the right to:

  • Restrict or disable international roaming
  • Suspend or throttle SIMs generating abnormal usage
  • Block SIMs operating in high‑risk or unsupported regions

Such actions may be taken without prior notice to protect against excessive billing or misuse.


4. Data Allowance & Overage

Each SIM includes a monthly data allowance as specified in the selected service plan.

  • Data usage beyond the included allowance is billed at the applicable overage rate
  • Data usage is metered in megabytes (MB)
  • Unused data does not roll over unless explicitly stated

The Customer is responsible for ensuring devices are configured to remain within expected data usage limits.


5. SMS Usage Policy

SMS functionality is provided for device configuration, control, and limited alerting only.

  • SMS usage is billed per message or included in a prepaid allowance, as defined in the service plan
  • Excessive, automated, looping, or unintended SMS behavior may result in:
    • Additional charges
    • Temporary suspension
    • Permanent restriction of SMS functionality

The Provider is not responsible for SMS charges caused by device firmware errors or misconfiguration.


6. Inactive Devices & Background Usage

Even when a device appears inactive:

  • Network signaling
  • Retry attempts
  • Application errors may generate billable data or SMS usage.

Zero usage is not guaranteed unless the SIM is formally suspended or deactivated at the Customer’s request.


7. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is solely responsible for:

  • Device configuration and firmware behavior
  • Update intervals and reporting frequency
  • APN settings and connectivity parameters
  • Monitoring their own SIM usage

The Provider is not liable for charges resulting from:

  • Customer device misconfiguration
  • Third‑party software interactions
  • Unauthorized roaming activity

8. Billing, Usage Records & Disputes

All usage records generated by the mobile network are considered accurate and final.

  • Billing disputes must be submitted within 30 days of invoice date
  • Valid network‑recorded usage charges are non‑refundable
  • Usage in restricted or roaming zones remains billable

9. Service Modifications

The Provider may modify:

  • Pricing
  • Coverage availability
  • Network partners
  • Usage thresholds

Changes may take effect immediately where required by network, regulatory, or risk considerations.

 

Global Sim (USA)

Caritracks’s Global Sim card for the continetal USA costs TTD $95 (USD $14) provides 125MB of Data per  month for TTD $55 (USD $8) per sim per month. 10 SMS messages costs TTD $20 (USD $3.00 / month). 

How the Sims works in USA? 

The Service is designed primarily for use within the continental United States. Connectivity is provided through partner cellular networks and may vary by location, network availability, and device capability.
Service availability outside the continental United States is not guaranteed and is subject to roaming agreements, technical limitations, and regional restrictions.

How the Global Sims works outside the borders of the continental USA? 

1. Service Coverage (USA)

The Service is designed primarily for use within the continental United States. Connectivity is provided through partner cellular networks and may vary by location, network availability, and device capability.

Service availability outside the continental United States is not guaranteed and is subject to roaming agreements, technical limitations, and regional restrictions. 

2. International & Non‑Continental Use

Use of the SIM card outside the continental United States, including but not limited to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, Canada, Mexico, and other countries, may be treated as international roaming.

International usage:

  • May incur higher data and SMS charges
  • May experience increased latency
  • May be limited or unavailable in certain regions

The Customer is responsible for all charges incurred due to roaming unless international usage is explicitly restricted or disabled in writing. 

 

3. Roaming Control & Abuse Protection

The Caritrack Ltd reserves the right to:

  • Restrict, suspend, or disable international roaming
  • Limit data usage or SMS usage in high‑risk regions
  • Take immediate action to prevent unexpected or excessive charges

Such actions may be taken without prior notice if abnormal usage, misuse, or billing risk is detected.

 

4. Data Allowance & Overage Charges

Each SIM includes a monthly data allowance as specified in the Service Plan.

  • Data usage beyond the included allowance is billed at the published overage rate
  • Data usage is calculated on a per‑MB basis
  • Unused data does not roll over unless explicitly stated

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that devices are configured to remain within expected usage limits. 

 

5. SMS Usage Policy

SMS messaging is intended for device configuration, control, and critical alerts.

  • Each plan may include a limited number of SMS messages
  • Additional SMS messages are billed per message at the applicable rate
  • Excessive, automated, looping, or unintended SMS behavior may result in suspension or rate adjustment

The Provider is not responsible for SMS generated due to device misconfiguration or firmware errors.

 

 

6. No Usage = No Guarantee of Zero Cost

Even when a device appears inactive:

  • Network signaling
  • Retries
  • Software errors may generate billable data or SMS events.

The Provider does not guarantee zero usage charges unless the SIM is formally suspended or deactivated.


7. Customer Responsibility

The Customer is responsible for:

  • Proper device configuration
  • Firmware correctness
  • APN and update interval settings
  • Monitoring usage levels

The Provider is not liable for charges resulting from:

  • Misconfigured hardware or software
  • Customer‑initiated roaming
  • Third‑party systems interacting with the SIM

8. Billing Disputes

Usage records generated by the network are deemed final and authoritative.
Billing disputes must be raised within 30 days of invoice issuance.

Charges associated with valid network usage are non‑refundable.


9. Service Changes

The Provider may update:

  • Pricing
  • Coverage
  • Network partners
  • Fair‑use thresholds

Reasonable notice will be provided where possible; however, changes required for network, regulatory, or risk reasons may take effect immediately.

A SIM that costs ~TTD $20 (USD $3.00 / month) in the USA may Cost 2–5× more abroad.

 

 

 

User SMS Restriction Policy

 

SMS messaging is restricted by default to ensure predictable costs and reliable service. Device configuration and control are handled via secure data connectivity. Limited SMS access may be enabled upon request and is subject to usage limits and additional charges.
